Le Streetwear, on aime, mais quand on y affiche une personnalité connue, ne devrait-on pas la nommer? Le magazine montréalais
Loulou a publié un article dans la rubrique Le style est dans la rue nommé "Que portent les filles cool en ce moment?" où le chef styliste du magazine, Claude Laframboise, a sélectionné ses looks d'inspiration masculine préférés.
J'approuve totalement ses choix, mais quand j'ai vu l'icône de la mode
Yasmin Sewell, également consultante à la création en chef du très populaire magasin
Liberty à Londres et blogueuse pour
Vogue.co.uk (Que d'ailleurs vous devriez aller voir), j'ai trouvé assez drôle qu'elle soit seulement mentionnée comme "une fashionista", et j'en suis venue à me poser des questions:
Monsieur Claude ne connaissait-il donc pas son identité?
Serais-ce un manque de travail des recherchistes?
Ou ne serais-ce que le magnifique style de Yasmin Sewell se rend jusqu'ici, trouvé par hasard, mais que son statut est resté à Londres?
We love streetwear, but when one shows a celebrity, should he not name her? Loulou magazine in Montreal published an article under the heading Style is in the streets named "What are cool girls wearing now?" in which the head stylist of the magazine, Claude Laframboise, has selected his favorite looks inspired by menswear.
I fully agree with his choices, but when I saw the fashion icon Yasmin Sewell, also chief creative consultant of the popular store Liberty in London and blogger for Vogue.co.uk (Which by the way you should check out), I found funny that she was only mentioned as "a fashionista", and I came to ask myself some questions:
Didn't Mr. Claude knew her identity?
Would this be lack of work in the research department?
Or would it be that Yasmin Sewell's amazing style goes overseas, found by chance, but her status remained in London?

Peut-être aussi que Loulou pourrait me renvoyer la pareille en me disant que les autres styles de l'article sont également portés par des femmes connues du milieu et que je ne les ai pas reconnues (j'en doute, mais c'est possible...), ou que l'objectif était uniquement de montrer ces styles et que les personnes les portant n'étaient pas mises de l'avant volontairement (ce qui est également possible, mais surprenant pour un magasine dont la ligne éditoriale est: Style/Shopping/Stars).
Perhaps Loulou could reply that the other styles shown in the article were also worn by well-known women from the fashion community, and that I just didn't recognized them (I doubt it, but it's possible ...), or that the objective was only to show the styles and that the people wearing them were not put forward voluntarily (which is also possible, but would be surprising for a magazine whose editorial line is: Style/Shopping/Stars).
Mis a part ce petit bémol, l'article n'en demeure pas moins très intéressant. Les styles sont magnifiques et donnent de très bonnes idées. De plus, j'ai un penchant pour le style inspiré de la mode masculine, il est selon moi, lorsque bien porté et bien agencé, le plus élégant de tous.
Apart from this small problem, the article is nonetheless very interesting. The styles are beautiful and gives great ideas. In addition, I have a penchant for style inspired by men's fashion, in my opinion, when properly worn and well arranged, it's the most elegant of all.
